I've booked myself in for flight on Friday. I'm going to have to take time off work this time. My local airport decided to become a Class C airport in August but didn't have any controllers to work past 18:00. That has put larger damper on my flying since most of my flying was done in the evenings after work.
What advantage is Class C for a GA airport. It's not even our own airspace, it's under the control of Dublin (EIDW). If Dublin decides the weather there is unsuitable they can essentially shut down operation at Weston. I've seen it happen that the weather is unflyable in Dublin but perfectly flyable in Weston.
Who'd want to be a GA pilot.
