I've had cause to re-mortgage recently and with that goes a renewed application for mortgage protection insurance. Understandably, the premium went up - higher mortgage - higher premium.
What I don't understand is the sudden loading because of my flying. I wasn't loaded before - and I did disclose the full extent of my flying. Yesterday I was told that I was going to be loaded and the net effect was to nearly triple my premium.
It's ridiculous. At the rate I fly, the insurance premium is costing almost as much as the flying
