As of this week I have less time for aviation.
No, it's not the bureaucracy, nor the weather, nor a lack of motivation - it's just that after several months of unemployment, I've now got a job.
That means no more weekday lunches at the airport. No weekday bumming at the airport means considerably less opportunities for meeting new people and nosing around new aeroplanes. It means much less time spent talking and learning about flying.
While the last few months have seen me spend very little on flying, I spent a great deal of time around flying and I'm almost surprised how enjoyable that money to time ratio has been
So,relieved and all as I am to be earning money again; glad as I am that I'll be able to pay for flying again; happy though I am that I can rebuild the savings for my own aeoplane: I am sad.
Bring on the long evenings !!
