I know how it is to go a long time between flying. I flew all through high school but had to stop once I got to college. Then I went in the military and was able to fly again. After leaving the military it was another seven years before I got to fly. Then one day, after living in the UK for six years, I came back to Houston for Thanksgiving and visited a "Barnes and Noble" (a first), had a "Starbucks" (a first)and picked up FlightTraining Magazine (a first). All these things started up while I was in the UK and this one event refocused my whole life. While reading FTM, the love of flying overwhelmed me again and then I found out that you could actually go to a school to get all your certificates and ratings. For the next year, I plotted my course and now I am a captain with SkyWest Airlines. So hang in there whatever your ultimate goal is in flying. It's worth it. Good luck!
